A brilliant turn out for our annual club boiler test day on Saturday March 21st, always better when the sun is shining 🌞

Even though many people may think this is just a hobby like any other, it is important to remember that these are pressure vessels which have the potential to cause harm in the same manner as other pressure systems ⚠️☠️⚠️

As such a number of activities are required to be carried out to ensure that they are safe to be operated, and at each annual check we work in accordance with The Boiler Test Code ✅️

The Boiler Test Code is for the examination, testing and certification of steam boilers owned and/or operated for hobby purposes only. Pressure equipment used in commercial operations would typically fall under the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR).

This year all engines present on the day underwent cold examination 👀 and steam test ♨️

We are pleased to say all engines successful passed and are ready for the show season 👌
